February being National Dental Health month, Dr. Cara and her assistant, Mary, visit the elementary schools in Stoneham. The children are thrilled to meet our office mascot “Phil” whom Dr. Cara uses to teach how to brush and floss. Dr. Cara demonstrates the sugar content of various drinks; the children and teachers are surprised to learn how much sugar can be in a beverage! Dr. Cara also teaches them about “cavity bugs” and how different foods can contribute to them forming on their teeth. Each child receives a pouch filled with a brush, floss and a few surprises for the children. The school visits are enjoyed by Dr. Cara ,Mary, the children and the teachers too!
