“Tinker Taylor” Asian Spies; The Interconnectedness of West Philippine Sea Political Conflict

Quite a while now since the conflict of scarborough shore is in the highlight of the international political conflict.  As usual, since world war two Philippines is still the dormant of the international political conflict.  As of this time the US congress is planning to supply more military arms in the Philippines to support the defensive stance against China.  Other allies of US and Philippines headed by Japan and Korea are also in the frontline of the campaign to eradicate the political harassment being executed by the Chinese government since the conflict started.  On the contrary, China together with Brunei and Russia are also executing their military exercises in the region as of this time to show might and military power against the allied forces after the allied forces headed by Japan and US conducted their military exercises few months ago.  The military infrastructure of Chinese military is already in the islands of the Philippines which causes alarm to the allied forces NATO and the UN.  Analyzing the side of the Chinese government, why the government of China is so interested with the shores of West Philippines; I believe it is not only the oil deposit of the disputed area which the Philippine government is always protecting knowing that the area of responsibility is part of Philippines natural resources.

But to understand deeper what is the root cause of the conflict reflects the history of the allied war during World War 2 when the allied forces tries to dominate in the pacific.  As of this time Guam and Hawaii and other small islands owned by US government are the military frontline and the strategic military assembly point for any tactical offensive.  In this manner both Chinese and Russian military tactical analyst perceived that by getting some islands near Philippines will advance their military facilities suppressing the allied forces dominance in the pacific.  Unluckily, The island of the Philippines is the best choice of the Russian and Chinese Military knowing that Hong Kong and Taiwan is in a shaky political loyalty towards the mainland China.  Upon reading some literatures today, the political tension in the pacific reflects the political war scenario in Europe before, during the Russian and German political war conflict.  

Europe is divided into several political sides and one part of the literature review that catched my attention in a way that the Philippines is in a same political picture with Russia before is what  Russian people is in a division were the general public of Russia at that time is divided in terms of their political ideology.  On the contrary, at present Philippine political setup is also divided in terms of political ideology were some part of the general public supports the ideals of the mainland China and generally the people of the Philippines are  supporting the US democratic form of government.  This divided political setup of the Philippine government will allow the Chinese government to penetrate strategically in terms of their military tactics and intelligence knowing that the general public of the Philippines is divided in terms of ideology.  

America must see to it that democratic form of government still rules in the pacific or else the Russian teachings will penetrate the islands of the pacific and give an authoritative influence of the Chinese and the North Koreans.  And when this time will happen I’m not sure if the islands of the pacific is still a good place for tourism.  Furthermore, Russian government is planning to transfer their capital from Moscow to some small cities near Asia and China to be specific, meaning Russian dominance is clearly shifting from Europe to Asia Under the flagship of China and North Korea.  How much longer can the Filipino people understand the help given by the US government to the Philippines. As what some are saying, “We don’t need no education” to understand the blatant presentation between the two ideologies that creates trouble not only in the pacific and Europe but throughout the globe.
