Davao’s Inner Beauty: The Fatherly love of Mayor Duterte (#MyDuterteStory and Photo log)

Many personal reflections pertaining to their experiences with our beloved city mayor of Davao, Mayor Rody Duterte shows how our mayor give his fatherly love and concern to the residents of Davao City and the neighboring provinces.

My personal experience with the mayor is not as a VIP person but as an ordinary citizen living the city of Davao. Looking back as a working resident of Davao and working with the business people in Davao allows me to commute the city every day from morning until evening. Exposing myself as an ordinary business person in the streets of Davao will allow myself to experience the effectiveness of public management of our beloved mayor. Many will say that it is only a “Myth” but as a resident of Davao once, I would say that Mayor Duterte’s concern towards the general public of Davao is more than a mayor’s work. His concern towards the people of Davao is like a father to a son or daughter.

Security:

Pertaining to the security of the city, the streets of Claveria and San Pedro long time ago during my university days are the streets were you can find young teenage “gangs” usually disturbing the local business owners and the public going around the streets. The mayor himself would love to ride his personal motorcycle and reprimand the young boys just like a father to a son. His full support to the safety and security of the city echoed not only to the neighboring cities in Mindanao but also to the National and International level. That is why up to this moment the city is ranked 4^th in the world’s safest city.

Business Investors:

Business sectors both local and the international investors finds Davao as a lucrative place for investing business due to the fact that their business is safe and secure during its operation. As a personal experience during my working days in Davao even I will go home late at night I can still feel the presence of our mayor hovering around the city looking after my safety just like the “big brother”.

Tourism:

During my last visit in Davao, business infrastructures increase rapidly as well as the tourism department of Davao. Many entertainment centers, Shopping Malls, and Hotels are already available for tourist. The new International Airport of Davao is enough to cater the business and tourism industry both national and International. Finally, the natural treasure of Davao which is the nature of Davao itself is being preserved by our mayor to allow the next generation and the tourist from around the world to enjoy. To some they call it a “myth”, I call it “The natural treasure of Davao” Visit Davao for yourself and you will see natural wonders like the Mt. Apo and other natural parks.

But without the fatherly love of our mayor, public order and governance will always be a “myth”. To all “Dabawenyos” let us not be greedy of the fatherly love our mayor has given to us. Let us share his fatherly love as a Mayor not only to the whole Philippine archipelago but also internationally.
