Digital Archaeology; Recording the Civilization’s Future History

The past civilization of mankind are investigated and studied by Archaeologist of today using their different tools in excavating the remains of the past and dating the remains with the accurate interpretations from the given written data recording.  Until today many historical stories are not in their conclusive evidence data, leaving a paradoxical story to the living civilization of today.  Since the birth of computing and the internet, huge change in communication and data acquisition changes the nature of information and data gathering and storage.  In the future Archeologist and Anthropologist will not only investigate the raw evidence from the “underworld” but also, Archaeologist and Anthropologist of the future will consider the human civilization and behavior inside the internet.

Digital Archaeology gives the civilization’s day to day behavior inside the internet which can be a digital artifacts in the near future.  Many external computer gadgets that can be useful in gathering data of today like google glasses, smart houses, go pro and they like are just simple examples of electronic data gathering tools that can be of used in actual data gathering from our day to day activities at present.  In terms of business, the artifacts that can be of use today are the recorded data in the stock market for example in a macro business perspective or the simplest purchasing of consumer goods in the convenient store recorded in the computer system of the business company are all data for the future of Digital Archaeology.  In terms of analyzing the raw data today, in the near future, Data scientist will consider the time when the original data is being encoded and the present situation when the data scientist is using the information for study.  Intellectual Synthesis considers the time from the past and the modern time fusing the derivatives of the past and present variables.

Furthermore, the present dependence of our community today in terms of digitalization will create a digital village and community from now and then.  With this concept digital archeology is possible in investigating the past of civilization in the near future.  Likewise, in the field of medical technology, engineers relating to bio-technology are already using the micro machines that can detect the human body’s reaction to the medicine and the environment for example. Come to think of it that all human interactions and day-to-day physical movement can be analyzed through the AI system used in all sorts of company’s ICT infrastructure interconnecting through data interchange with other business organization used for business transaction executions.  To give a detailed example, the passport system of today has a technology that enable the immigration division to look into the details of a given citizen to his or her government records using the QR or Bar code of the passport. Likewise, those records can be used with other business entities like banks and stock markets that when a given citizen who is a violator by law cannot transact business with the International market anymore given that his records in the government is not lucrative to the society.

Furthermore, this government record written online can be a reference of a given citizen in the near future when the need of Digital Archaeology analysis will arise.  When the governments of the world will impose the universal ID card system this process will allow the digital record system of today useful for the next generation to come.  As immigration is rapidly increasing with the positive effect on business and trade it is but necessary for governments to impose the universal card system to prevent lawless elements going in and out in international borders.  The utopia of world knowledge inside the internet is the future of digital archaeology were governments can unify and share digital data or data interchange for world security and civil business transaction purposes.
