Emotional Machines: Bringing Soul to AI and Robotics

The future of machines and human intelligence will eventually merge with the wide studies of AI and robotic integration in civilization.  The concept of robotics integrated in civilization followed after the studies in Japan that the human civilization started to diminish with the fact that older population in Japan is higher in number compared to the younger generation.  Research further reveals that in the years to come Japanese society needs human migration to aid the overall economic work force of the country. Likewise, the theory follows that machines can substitute humans to accurately alter the daily human work of the Japanese civilization.

On the contrary, the Japanese Shinto religion believes that machines are believed to have spirits in them.  Meaning machines in terms of the Japanese religious belief has its inner distinct emotions that will interact with humans.  Though it is just a belief, AI technology proves the future of machine emotion interacting with human civilization.  Studies of today reveal the role of robotics in Japanese civilization. Robot nurses like ASIMO will substitute the role of human nurses’ in the future in the field health care industry. WebMD is already a reality were the AI driven robotics can determine the health status of the human body 24/7.  Additionally, E-lawyers now are available to advice a legal client with the advance accuracy in analyzing the exact logical scenarios in any legal case given.

EMOTIONAL ROBOTS:

The fallacy and imagination of Pinocchio the wooden puppet, the Tin Man from the wizard of Oz, and the Android from the movie Star Trek: the next generation will create a notion that non-human objects can have the thoughts and soul like humans in the near future. When does science in AI and robotics can fully duplicate human soul?
