The New Silk Road and the New Age

The civilization of the east paves the history of men since the reign of the Egypt Empire. Science, education, and the modern lifestyle at that time are being envied throughout the world. The rich civilization in the east depicts the hidden capabilities of Euro Asia and beyond to dominate the modern civilization of today. Before British and American economic world dominance Euro Asia and the East are the center of trade, science, and civilization. The book “The Silk Roads: a new history of the world” by Peter Frankopan a senior Research Fellow at Worcester College, Oxford and Director of the Centre of Byzantine Research at Oxford University gives the academic view point of the dormant civilization of the Silk Road in Euro Asia. The national treasures of Euro Asia since the time of Alexander, Darius III, and King Philip never changes in terms of the richness of civilization. Likewise, empires are made in Asia since the beginning of times. The alluvial lowlands of Mesopotamia in the rivers of Tigris and Euphrates and across the whole of the “Fertile Crescent” lands are the fertile lands and the plentiful water that stretches to the Persian Gulf.

Moreover, 4,000 years ago the Kingdom of Babylon and Persia controls the civil society of the east. According to the Greek Historian Herodotus, ‘The Persians are greatly inclined to foreign customs’ which means that Persians are willing to adopt concepts from their foes after the war. Indeed, technologies in Persia are combinations of concepts from other countries around Middle East and the whole of Euro Asia. Moreover, Peter Frankopan further explained the history of philosophy and science related to the whole academe that the centers of excellence of the world, the Oxfords and Cambridges, the Harvards, and Yales, were not located in Europe or the West, but in Baghdad and Balkh, Bukhara and Samarkand.
Exchange of goods and services along the Silk Road advances the knowledge at the same time ideas are building among all the residents of Euro Asia and the East. Religion on the other hand is so interesting in the Silk Road area were the greatest religions of the world like, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism are being founded. During the time of the Crusade, Jerusalem is the focal point of the conflict. Thus, in the future the unity of religion maybe starts from Jerusalem or the East and the vastness of the Silk Road. Russia, Central Asia, Persia, and Mesopotamia are the great partners of achieving world peace in the future. As the West started to incline their world economic role to China, Russia, and England world lasting peace can be achieved in the Silk Road. According to the author, The Silk Road is the road of Super Power Rivalry, Genocide, War, Crisis, Hell, Death and Destruction but on the contrary The Silk Road is also a place and the road of Gold, Silver, Peace, Faith, Unity, and Heaven.
Thus, the journal of Peter Frankopan captures many publishers like:
“The breadth and ambition of this swashbuckling history by Peter Frankopan should come as no surprise… A book that roves as widely as the geography it describes… A powerful corrective to parochialism” Sunday Times
“The most illuminating book of the year” Times Literary Supplement
“Brilliant threads. Bold… a history of the world that shunts the centre of gravity eastward” Economist
